My son evidently became friends with Christopher during the later months of 2015 while attending a program in the Asheville area. Although they parted ways a few months later, they kept in touch because of their shared struggles with life. My son Alex was devastated upon hearing of Chris's passing, as Chris evidently made an impact as few others have.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Christopher's passing. I remember when you had him! You were super excited. I was in the NCIS Orlando office and you were in Key West. I cannot begin to imagine what you and Rob are going through, but please know you are in my prayers. May God provide you the strength, comfort and peace you are seeking through this difficult time.

Cheri, I was so saddened to hear of the loss of your son. I never had the pleasure of meeting Chris but I have no doubt he was a remarkable person, just like his mother. I miss you and wish I could convey my sympathy in person. My heart goes out to you.

Rob, Cheri and Cayleigh. I was shocked and saddened to hear of Chris' passing. I wish I had been lucky enough to meet him, but, from everything that I've heard, he was a most remarkable young man. May God give you peace in your time of sorrow.
