Dr. Christopher Sutton Kent

Dr Kent saved my life. I was a very young girl, with a very bad back. He did what 3 other neurosurgeons couldn´t do. I was 18 having my first back surgery thinking my life was over. I was 28 when my life finally began, because of him. I have had two fusions and a laminectomy. Dr Kent fixed all of it. I wish I could tell him how much he means to me, my husband and now my daughters. It´s because of him I am where I am supposed to be.

Dear Kent Family, I was a medical student with Dr Kent 20 years ago. I just learned of his passing. I recall how welcoming he was to me and I learned much from his expertise. I'm sorry to hear of this loss and grateful that I had the opportunity to learn from him.

It has been a while since I came to this site, and I am deeply moved to see people continuing to leave such loving and thoughtful remembrances of my brother. At Chris's memorial, which feels like both a lifetime ago and just yesterday, I concluded my eulogy by saying "Even in his absence, he will always remain a constant in our lives." I couldn't have known then just how true those words were for so many. In Gratitude and Love, thank you all so very much.

Every year goes by and the wound of your departure is still fresh. In my new career path, I still share stories of Super Kent and how you were so much more than just your job. I miss you blasting music from your office, your college stories, your proud dad moments of your daughters and your jokes. Thank you for leaving those who loved and cared for you with memories that will last a lifetime. You are dearly missed.

It's been 7 yrs since I last saw Dr. Kent, I am grateful to have had him for a doctor. I've been lucky to have many great doctors in my life and I think of all of them often as they have greatly improved my life. Hugs to all who are missing him.
