Thinking fondly of Chris on this anniversary of his untimely death.

I don't know what made me look up Chris just now. I hadn't seen him in decades - probably not since the 90s when he lived in VT. I'm saddened to hear of his passing. I knew as soon as I saw his photo that it was him. That sweet smile captures his personality so well! I lived at Chris's, briefly, one summer in the 80s. I am very saddened to hear of Chris' passing. Chris was an incredibly energetic, passionate, creative, and generous man. He was a big art of our lives for a time. He attended our wedding; he gifted us framed prints of his brothers art that still hang in our home. He was even at my daughters birth 21 years ago. We were the recipients of several hand-made gifts from Chris -- a folding chess set with beautiful buttons as chessman individually and meticulously sewn onto velcro squares. This chess...
