Not sure what to say?

Today was the first time I heard of the sacrifice Chris made. The local Iraq war monument in Cape Coral, FL added his name recently. Chris was my room mate for four months in basic training. From what I remember, he was a warrior and ready for action.

Dearest Chris,
Today is St.Patrick's Day , the anniversary of your ultimate sacrifice for your country. I'm from Camden. You could have been my son or son-in-law. I'm remembering you today and always with love and respect. May god bless your young brave soul.
Sincerely,
Starr Greene Barrett

I can't believe it has been 5 years since you have been gone. I think about you all the time. We had a lot of good times over the years, wish we had more chances before you were gone. I find myself at a loss sometimes, remembering high school, you know I had you and wouldn't let anyone mess with you on Rome. Wish I had been there later on. I miss you more than I can say, you'll always be in my thoughts and there on those beautiful summer days we loved. I'll see you again someday. Until then...
