Very sad to learn of this news. "Coach" gave me an opportunity to join his basketball team at Charles County Community College in LaPlata. It was an incredible gesture, especially since I was not a recruit or even had a wealth of experience. Not only did he provide me with that opportunity, he also took time to teach me the game. Thoughts and prayers to Chris' family... he played basketball in my backyard in Pitman and I will always remember him as a gentle soul.

I'm heartbroken to learn of Chris' passing. My deepest, heartfelt condolences to his family and all those who love him.

I'm so very sad to hear this news and send deepest sympathies to all Chris's family. I have such fond childhood memories of Chris and his siblings Josh and Claudia, who was a best friend, and of their parents Jean and Ed, who were so good to me. I am grateful for those good times and send my love to you all.

Deepest condolences from the DeClement family. Chris was a great friend of my youth. I know he was a outstanding father and educator and will be terribly missed by those for whom he loved.
