If her daughter Charic is any reflection of her mother, then this woman was a wonderful, caring, and compassionate lady. I went to elementary school with her daughter, just as Houston was experimenting with integration. Charic and I became good friends. I mourn, with her, the passing of her mother. (The attached photo is how Charic may remember me, in 1968.)
