My earliest memory of my brother Joe was organizing games into a competitive tournament on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. He would draw up a chart with our brackets, and the tournament would last all day long. I was only about 6 and Joe would have been 16 years old. He taught me how to play checkers so I could participate in the tournament.
