Clarence Goodson Obituary
of Alexandria, VA on Tuesday, July 4, 2006; loving husband of Gertrude Goodson; devoted father of Jean Miller, Clarence Goodson, III and Lisa Nyce. Also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 12 at Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, 4329 Sano St., Alexandria, VA at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation, www.parkinson.org. Arrangements by DEMAINE SPRINGFIELD-ANNANDALE FUNERAL HOME.

What a remarkable person Clarence was. I had the good fortune to work with him for about 20 years. He was a great general foreman and employee of Washington Gas. He had high standards but was always a gentleman and fair and honest with his employees, supervisors and the public he served. He was extremely knowledgeable of field operations and could be counted on to take the correct action when emergencies arose. I valued his wise counsel and his ability and willingness to solve problems. He has been and will continue to be missed by those who worked with him and knew him as a friend and fellow gasman.

To my Grandaddy, may peace and bliss be granted in life eternal. May he find grace and mercy before the Lord of heaven and earth. May his soul rejoice in the ineffable good which God has laid up for him, and may his memory be a blessing unto those who treasure it.
