Clarence Trumpy Obituary
Age 93, of Hemet, California, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018. He was born on Wednesday, October 1, 1924 in Webster, South Dakota to the late Jay and Alma Trumpy. He is survived by three children, Donna (Richard) Scott, Cliff (Riva) Trumpy, and Ginny (Chris) Coleman; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and his sister-in-law, Mabel Trumpy. Clarence was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary in 2013; and by 5 brothers and sisters.
Clarence served our nation honorably in the U.S. Army during WW II, and had been in the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley since 1947. He was a prominent Dairyman in the valley until 1979, and then remained active in the community. He was a member of the San Jacinto Lions club in the 60s and 70s, and attended Shepherd's House Church, where he contributed greatly. Clarence was also the President of the Board of The Production Credit Association which helped countless farmers in the valley.
Clarence also loved spending time with his family. Their fondest memories are of time spent in the cabin he built in the mountains in 1957, which is still owned by the family today.
Clarence was dearly loved, and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
A Funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Shepherd's House Church located at 189 De Anza Drive in San Jacinto. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6pm to 8pm at Miller-Jones Mortuary, located at 1501 W. Florida Ave. in Hemet, and at 9am Friday morning. Interment will be in San Jacinto Valley Cemetery on Friday, May 25th at 10am.
