Mr. Giffin, as I called him when I was a student at the old St. Amant High School was the band leader. In my junior year, Mr. Giffin offered older students the opportunity to receive music instruction.
My best friend, Vermia, and I “joined” the band. The only thing that we learned to play was “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star”. We drove my mama crazy with our practicing.
This experiment by Mr. Giffin was short lived and he never tried it again.
Later, I was on the faculty with Clark and then at the new St.Amant he was my principal.
I always had a lot of respect for him and found him to be a very
Intelligent person!
He was a great family man and a good Catholic.
Terri was one of my favorite students in Honors English at EA!
I know that he is resting in peace with his beloved Ruth.
My prayers go out to his family.

Mr. Clark will be much missed. He and Ms. Ruth were good friends of my parents Jim and Mary Ellen Trainer and we enjoyed being neighbors of theirs. Our prayers are with all the family.

Terri, Chuck, Anne and David,
So sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He was a great friend and colleague both as a fellow band director and then as principal. We had great times at all the band functions and I will never forget him. Our prayers are with you all and may Clark rest in peace.

What a concert going on in Heaven!!! You know Mr. Giffin done stole Gabriel's horn and he, Shaky, Mr. Taranto, and all their students are playing up a storm! What a blessing it would be to hear their Christmas Concert! All love to all of the Giffin family...and know this man made so many lives better with his steady manner and gentle humor. God bless!
