Claude Cone Obituary
Claude Milton Cone, 88, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2017 at his residence in Sylacauga, AL. He was born September 7,1929 and lived in Montgomery, AL most of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wice C. and Florence Cone; as well as his brother, Earl Cone and his sister, Loretta McKibbon. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy and his second wife, Evelyn.
Claude is survived by his wife of sixteen years, Catherine J. Cone of Sylacauga, AL. He is also survived by stepchildren; Patricia Watson of Marion, IL, Robert J. Watson (Lou Ann) of Sylacauga and Clayton Lee Watson (Connie) of Crestview, FL. He is survived by nephews; Carl McKibbon, Butch McKibbon and nieces; Carolyn Courson and Nancy Williams. He is survived by many step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family would like to express thanks to Lendy Kelly of All About You Home Health for the special care given to Claude.
Claude worked as a Research Supervisor for the Alabama Highway Department for 44 years. He was an avid Alabama fan and had a unique "garden variety" personality. He never met a stranger and was known as a generous man who loved his family deeply.
A visitation will be held Friday, December 29, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Leak Memory Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Leak Memory Funeral Home.

I submitted my condolence earier, but I cannot find it so I am writing it agin.
Claude and I are first cousins. We share fond
memories of the younger days when he played his guitar and sang on the radio. Throuhout the years his family visited us at our plantation on Sundays to hunt and to visit on the front porch. We knew that someday we would meet again in Heaven!!!!!!.

and we share memories of our young years
including when you played the guitar & sang on the radio. Also your family came to our plantation
