Not sure what to say?

Mr Gove touched the lives of so many children. We feel God sent him here to keep kids safe and happy. My sons have nothing but happy memories of the Hazel Dell principal. My favorite was when he dressed up as a mad scientist for the "spooktacular" every year.

My compliments to the insightful authors of this obituary as it captured so well the talents and skills, the strengths and compassion, and the loyal devotion of Claude; the educational leader, the kind friend, the dedicated family man, and the terrific human being. Your words are a beautiful tribute to a wonderful man. I, like many others, knew Claude professionally in Vancouver School District, and in my three different capacities with him over the years, I admired his leadership, his...

We loved you as our 6th grade teacher all those years ago and here we are, a couple of years ago, together again to give you a plaque that hung by the door of your first classroom. So thankful we had that time with you!

This is one of many principals that I had the opportunity to work with he was always kind to me since I was a sub. He always was at the front door to find out who was walking into his school he was very friendly and caring he was always on top of the going's on in his school. May he rest in peace now.

Claude became President for Life of our 1958 Omak High School graduating class. There is no questions that Claude was exactly the right man for that job. He maintained personal contact with most of the '58 Class, and always expressed his very personal interest in each and every one of us. There is a huge hole in my heart where Claude regularly called to ask about my well-being. He even called me twice in the week before his passing. We all will miss our tall President.

Mr. Gove~ Knowing you was the greatest gift that was ever given to us. Each and everyone of us in your first class share the love and friendship that you provided us. I can't begin to say how much you will be missed by us. Dee was one lucky woman to have been able to share you with a lot of people. You DID make a difference in our lives. Lauryn and family, I am so sorry to hear about Claude, or Mr Gove as I knew him from the 80´s when he was my principal at Hazel Dell Elementary. What a wonderful, admirable, wise person who left an impact on me since I graced the halls of that school. Once I told him that he knew many of my family members in the school district- it became daily hellos, high fives, and his great smile! I thought of him often throughout the years. Sending my condolences, thoughts, and prayers to you all. He...

Thoughts and prayers to the Gove family. I remember Mr. Gove as Principal at my elementary school. He had a tremendously positive impact upon me at an early age. I recall that as an elementary school aged child, he was the tallest man I'd ever seen, but he was so kind, principled and genuine in how he treated the kids at the school. I really appreciated his emphasis upon warning the students about the dangers of drug use, which really stuck with me through my entire life. He always...

So many children and families benefitted from the leadership and nurturing experienced while Clauade Gove (and his remarkable sidekick, Ron Albaugh) graced the halls of Eisenhower Elementary back in the day. Our best wishes to Claude's family and many thanks, The Grammer Family
