I met Woody in 1986 while working for for Dr. Reid Crumpton, one of his closest friends. Woody hired me part time on Fridays. I looked forward to those Fridays! He sincerely LOVED ortho, his family, and his patients!
I now work in a very large dental practice. Families (parents & children alike) loved Woody. "He's so nice". A patient, just this week said , "my orthodontist was sick and had to quit working. I don't like the one that I have to go to now. He doesn't care". I asked him who he used to go to. He said, "Dr. Wood. He was cool"! He cared about me". My patient was saddened to learn about Woody's passing. Many truly still miss him to this day. Love to the family always!
Love and Miss you , my friend!

Dr Wood did my husband and my daughter's braces and very generously gave us a big discount on my daughters bill when he found out that my husband was battling cancer and having a stem cell transplant. He was a very kind generous Christian man and he will be deeply missed. Prayers for the whole family.

Our deepest sympathy to Carolyn and the Woods family in the loss of Woody.
We have fond memories of Woody, being a wonderful neighbor and a generous and good friend. He and Carolyn showed our family what a generous friend looks like. They offered their beach condo to our family so many times, when without their loving ways, our family would not have had a vacation at the beach.
We loved them as friends and as great neighbors.
Woody was a good man with a big heart, and he will be missed.
All our love to the Woods family,

Dear family, once again I'm sending you lots of love from here in Rhode Island. It's incredibly sad to lose two family members in such a short period of time. Woody was a fine man, and it was always a pleasure to see him at extended family events. By the way, I scanned the Wood section of Mayme Parrott Wood's book and have it in a PDF, so anyone in the family is welcome to contact me if you'd like a copy of the file. It has a lot of extended family information and stories.
Much love,
Tina Wood (Jerry's daughter)
