News Death Notice
CHANEY, Claudette 77 of Springfield passed away June 27, 2016 in Legacy at Forest Glen. She was born in Springfield, Ohio on April 9, 1939, the daughter of Claud and Etta Worrell. Claudette retired as a receptionist for Commercial Equipment Service. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, boating, drawing and painting, but her greatest joy was her grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Carolyn; and daughter Kim Yates. Survivors include her husband Richard F. Chaney; sons Rich (Diane) Chaney and Tadd (Jenny) Chaney; grandchildren T.J., Dustin, Brandon and Cody Chaney, and Emily Yates; great-grandchildren Aiden and Mason; sisters Shirley (Ronnie) Thompson, Gayle (Bob) Hawk, Janie Hilbert, Phyllis Palmer and Jenny Vermillion; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 PM. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. A service to honor Claudette will be Friday at 11:00 AM. in the Memorial Home with Craig Grammer of First Christian Church officiating. Burial to follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. So sorry for the loss of this wonderful lady. it has been many years since most of us have spoken but no one in the family has been forgotten. Think of all of the family members often and how our lives have crossed since our parents moved from Castleberry Al. Love to all and God Bless.

So many wonderful memories of our boating days with Claudette and Dick. She was always fun to be with and was very caring.

So sorry to hear of Claudette's passing, but know she is smiling not that she is with her family members who were waiting for her in Heaven.
