I have known Claudia many years via career and technical education. She was always very warm and outreaching with any help if needed. In all my years of service to the Mukilteo School District. Claudia Buxton was THE most influential boss I've ever had. Her passion and love for kids both at Sno Isle and in general was unmatched. I cherish every memory I have of working with/for Claudia and share what a wonderful person she was every chance I get. Claudia was a dear friend and confidant. She was my mentor at Sno-Isle Skills Center for which I will be forever grateful. To know Claudia was to understand grace. As Vocational Director colleagues, I looked up to her, gleaned her knowledge and shared visions. I will always consider her the "queen" of Voc Directors. I met Claudia as a kid at my grandparents home in Helena Montana. She was a friend of my aunt Karen. She was always kind to me and always had a great smile. I´m not sure when lewis met her and Jim but I´m sure it was at my aunts home in Seattle. Lewis felt a real bond with her because of her being a teacher. Lewis´ mom was a teacher.
