Not sure what to say?

Still so happy to have had this fabulous teacher for my voice instructor. Mr. and Mrs Dawson were so important to my life! Thank you to both!

I was just searching for Clay and Kathy and found this obituary. I would love to have Kathy´s phone number and or address. You two took this bumpkin under your wings and loved me through my degree, built up my confidence and got me throu. I´d love to thank you and talk to Kathy. My memories of you both are wonderful! Thank you Clay and Kathy for shaping who I am as a musician. In my church choral directing I often hear Mr. Dawson's voice in my head. The music we sang in NEMO singers was a highlight and joy, and continues to inform my choral music selections and presentations in church. I know he is surrounded by a rich garden as he directs his heavenly choir. Peace to Anne, Kathy and family.

I just learned of Clay's death this week. I am saddened by the news. I have fond memories of a man who took a chance on me and chose me to be part of the NEMO Singers for 3 years. I learned so much from him musically and personally that I continue to use to this day. He helped me appreciate the beauty of choral music which I still enjoy today as part of my church's choir. May God enjoy your many talents with those heavenly choirs. Peace and comfort to you, Kathy, and your family.

So very sorry to hear of Clay's passing. He was the biggest influence in my life. As my voice teacher he gave me the skill and guidance to become the voice teacher and public school choral director that I was for 26 years. He was the best mentor anyone could ever hope for. My gratitude is unending. Blessings and prayers Linda and I send to Kathy and Anne.

The choir at First Christian Church in kirksville was so special during the years Clay and Kathy were here. Having the opportunity to work with them at Truman and go to church with them was very special. They shared their music with our church family in so many ways and made us all love musicmusic in this church has remained dear to our hearts because of their gift to us so many years ago now. Love and God's grace and blessings be with you Kathy and your family.

I was so sad to hear of Clay's passing. He was a wonderful director and voice teacher. I have fond memories of our tour to New Orleans and of singing with him in La Bohem. He was such a talented musician and a wonderful mentor to all of us in the NEMO Singers. My love and prayers to Kathy and his family!

I can still hear Mr. Dawson's voice in my head clear as day saying, "Sopraaanoooos..." as he urged those of us in NMSU's University Chorus to be better singers than we thought we could be. I learned a lot from him, about music and life. I'll never forget my time at Northeast, and he was a big part of that. Thank you, Mr. Dawson!
