Six years is six too many, I still can't believe you're gone. You have no idea how much I miss everything! I miss your silly emails with titles that made me afraid to open them, phone calls in the middle of the night or the wee hours of the morning when I lived in Hawaii and you lived in New York, and web cam chats about missing home and you showing me your stuffed rooster that you of course did not refer to as a rooster, ha! I even miss you and all the guys door bell ditching me and picking on me after school, it's hard to believe that I've known you since the 3rd grade! I know you're looking after Keelie for me, until I can get there to do it myself, and for that I thank you. I couldn't imagine my daughter being looked after by anyone better. You are forever in my heart and I will never forget your brilliant smile and all the laughter that you brought to my life. I love you!

Clay, I am so sorry that I didn't write on Veterans Day. You were in my thoughts, but I spent about 12 hours in urgent care with my daughter.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I want you to know that I will be giving thanks to you. You are a HERO and I promise you will never be forgotten.
I wonder how you Dad is doing. I so enjoyed meeting him and giving him your book. I hope he was amazed and happy with the outpouring of love and respect for you. I know that you and your brothers in arms are still watcing over all of us. I am sure you are saying that you were just doing your job and it has nothing to do with being a hero, but Clay, you truly are a hero.

It's strange to say that for some reason Clay has been on my mind all day. It may be because of Memorial Day, or there was "our" song playing in my car and then when I got home Top Gun was on. I just think that he is a wonderful man! I know that I only got to know him in a short time period but I really believe I got to know the true Clay Farr. He was a man who was willing to fight for his country, friends, and family. On an emotional level he was truly unique. He showed me his true feelings many times about the war, Sarah, his family, and other events in his life. But on the other hand he was one of the funnest people I've ever been around. He wasn't afraid of anything! He was the first and only person that I have ever done a donut in a car with. He lived his life knowing that tomorrow could be it and personally I admire him for that. He is truly missed and I can honestly say one of the biggest hero's I've ever had the honor to meet and know. I am very sorry for Clay's parents, family, and close friends who lost someone so great. But his honor and memory will always be continued on. I wish he was stil here today because I'd have so much to say. I'd tell him I'm sorry, talk about life, and tell him how proud I was of him and the hero he became.

For all of those who didn't know Clay, I'm sorry you never got to meet one of the most amazing men in this world. He was the most caring man and did everything for his friends and he loved and lived as if there was no tomorrow. There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

Mr. and Mrs. Farr: You don't know me. I am a former Bakersfield resident who taught at both North High and West High School from 1960-1977. My heart goes out to you in your night of tears, but I rejoice with you that Clay is with his
Saviour. I know you are very proud of him. I recently wrote a book entitled Night of Tears, Morning of Joy, which includes testimonies of God's goodness in time of grief. I would be happy to send you a copy of the book if I had your mailing address. The first chapter in the book is about the parents of the only Marine killed in the Panama Incursion in 1989. Your testimony in the obituary is clear and positive. May God bless you in a special way at this time.

Thank you so much for the beautiful Memorial that you shared. My heart goes out to you and your family. It is such a comfort to know, without a doubt, that our loved ones are in Heaven. Mr. & Mrs. Farr
It is your example that encouraged Clay to become the man he became. To live his life for God and to fight to protect this wonderful Country so we can worship God as we wish. Clay will be remembered always in thoughts and prayers by many. Prayers for those who lost their lives to give us our wonderful freedoms and prayers for those continuing the battle.
God bless you both. One day I will be able to thank Clay, as I walk with him and our Lord in Paradise.
I have forwarded Clay's obituary to everyone in my address book and asked that they do the same. His is a story of a true hero.

Thank you for this wonderfully written memorial. My prayer is that others will find Jesus as their personal savior because of it, and the emence sacrifice you and your son have paid.
My heart's desire is that people like the family who wrote the memorial that was placed just underneith Clay's today will find hope and peace, through it. The contrast is stark. My heart goes out to you all. The scripture refrences are wonderful. God is Faithful, His word IS true. He truly is our Peace. May your tribute to your precious son today reap eternal rewards.
I know you look forward to seeing him again someday. We have that hope through Jesus.
This is the day the Lord has made, I Will rejoice and be glad in it.
(I choose to sing this scripture song in the darkest of times. The sacrifice of praise reaps the joy of the Lord.)
May God continue to be your strength, peace and joy.

I Thank everyone for sending your love and support. The reason for this is becasue clay Is and always will be my cousin. I love him and miss him He has inspired many like me. My parents said no more family will be able to join the army...But they never said anything about The Air Force.
Again i thank every one of you for every thing.

I know from personal experience that when a loved one is lost, the ones who suffer the most are those left behind. I'm very moved by Clay's sacrifice and - believe me - even more by the sacrifice of those who love him. Clay's patriotism can never be questioned, for he served his country in the most difficult of times. I salute Clay!
