Cliff Akers Obituary

Cliff Akers
Dec. 27, 1936 - March 18, 2015
Resident of Tracy
Longtime San Jose resident Cliff B Akers, 78, died Wednesday March 18, 2015.
Cliff was born on December 27, 1936 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to Barney and Nina Akers. Cliff served in the US Army and then attended Stanford University where he received his Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He then went to work for IBM for many years, setting up roots in San Jose, CA. Eventually, he decided to start his own business where he was able to work from home until retirement.
Cliff enjoyed many activities throughout the years. He was an avid golfer and pool player. He also had a passion for cars, having owned many classics.
In his later years, he especially enjoyed camping on the beach at Sea Cliff.
Cliff leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Judy, three children, and two dogs, as well as countless friends and relatives.
Cliff will forever be remembered for his kindness, humor and for his BBQ Chicken & Ribs.
