This was our last visit together. I gave him a duck decoy that I had carved for him. He was always wearing a smile when I saw him.
Cliff and I bonded as friends on a June day in 2012 I was his guardian for the day on a Honor Flight to his WW2 memorial at Washington DC. I visited Cliff after our trip as often as i could in Genoa but it definitely was not enough. We talked about the war and our families. We both had a common interest in reading books and he always would lend me books that he thought I would like. We also had a interest in wildlife mostly birds.
