I had the pleasure of knowing Cliff during my Air Force years at Carswell AFB in Fort Worth during the 1970´s. We both were assigned to the hospital medical staff and were on the hospital golf team. Sorry to hear Cliff has left us. He and I played a lot of golf together. Especially during our old younger days as walkers. He had a habit of walking in front of me before I had hit and I repeatedly told him that he was not safe in front of me since I had no real idea of where the ball might go. His famous reply was "don't worry if you hit me it will be my fault not yours." Never did manage to hit him.
