Penny, Carolann and family,
I have such fond memories of your father during our visits down south.
He was a consistently consistent man of few words! You were fortunate to have had him so close for so long. His coaching career was impressive but, his biggest win is the “all star “ family he raised. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Prayers are with each one of you , Coach was beyond measure, raised many a young person not his own blood and raised a wonderful family as an everlasting legacy. May his memory go on forever.

Mr. Pitts taught me biology in the 10th grade at Mary Persons (in 1959-60). I remember that he'd get one of his football players to stand in front of the class, and we would have to name the bone or muscle that he was pointing to with his yard stick. But what I came to admire most about him was that he did not think of a job at Mary Persons as merely a step to something grander. Coach Pitts was a wonderful man and a wonderful Coach. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you during this very difficult time.

My love and prayers go out to you, Penny and Carolann. Coach Pitts was the best coach/mentor I ever had. He touched so many lives. He will never be forgotten in Forsyth. Beween He and My Mom (Doris Ogletree) made me the person I am today. I pray that God brings you all comfort and peace during this difficult time.

Coach Pitts will always be remembered. He was always kind & respectful to those of us in the Band! I know we got in his way at times but he just dealt with it!
