Not sure what to say?

To Dr. Benjamin's family-Mrs. Benjamin, Kareem, Zaheer and Jamaal.

Jamaal, words cannot describe the saddness that went through our minds yesterday when we found out that your dad passed away. I remember praying for your mother speedy recovery and good health when you left our home on January 2, 2009. Knowing you signified how great, gracious and adoring loving your parents are. Our heart felt condolence to you and your family. Mrs. Benjamin enjoy and cherish your great memory of...

No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. Our deepest condolences are with you as you grieve.

I never would have thought that when I saw Prof. Benjamin at Homecoming in 2008 it would be for the last time. He was indeed a great man to know as a teacher and person. His death leaves a large vacancy at SBI and in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

I was deeply shocked by the loss of Dr. Benjamin. One doesn't often meet someone as outstanding as he was. Dr. Benjamin never let me pass by him during Fellowship Hour without asking how my job was going (always remembering exactly where I worked!) and commenting on the progress (or antics!) of my son. The lovely service was a beautiful testament to the life he lived and to your family. It was comforting to hear such nice words spoken. He will be missed. May God be with you all.

Prof. Colin Benjamin has touched the lives of so many people. His departure leaves a void in this world. He was an exemplary person and the term gentleperson is truly appropriate for describing this outstanding husband, scholar, father, friend and human being. Rest in Peace.

Condolences on behalf of my self and my family to Claire and the children. We were very sorry to hear of Colin's passing and we hope that the rich memories of a life well-lived will ease the pain.

I am so shocked and saddened to hear this news. My sincere condolences to Dr. Benjamin's family. He was one of my absolute favorite professors and such a great person. He always made me laugh and he definitely pushed me to do my absolute best at all times. He will be missed and I will never forget his contribution to my personal and professional development.

Dr. Benjamin was one of my favorite professors in SBI. He was available to answer any questions that I had about the material that he taught in his classes. Not only was he a teacher but was also a friend. He will be deeply missed.

Thirty five years ago I met a wonderful man named Colin Benjamin, we lived in Georgetown, Guyana at the time. I was very lonely and depressed at the time and turning twenty one that year. Colin gathered all my friends and some family and threw me a surprise twenty first birthday party. That was the first and last birthday party I ever had. Thank you Colin.
