We were together in your house when the wind ripped a very large limb from a tree. I will always remember how you helped a scared nine year old regain his composure. Dear Connie was loved by all the staff in Gowana Jr. High School. She was always cheerful, welcoming, understanding whenever I walked into the office. "How may I help you?" Even though she had much to do, she would listen and tell me she will get right back to me, and she would. I would sometimes ask her how the boss (principal) was today. "Oh, he is fine. Mom, I remember coming home from the hospital after being sick, we sat on the bed and you sang to me. I remember the special treats you'd get me when I would go grocery shopping with you.
