Constance changed my life. She had a bigger impact than anyone, save my parents. I'd heard about Constance all my life, the way families pass on stories about extraordinary, near-mythic members that they can't quite reconcile their relationship to. But I didn't meet her until shortly after moving to the city; she reached out and shook me to my core, changed how I saw myself, how I lived, how I thought. There are so, so many things which I could not have accomplished, could not have even...

Life as I know it will never be the same as a result of my mother's passing. I will endeavor to carry on knowing that the gifts she gave me and lessons she taught me strengthened the very core of my being. My mother was extraordinary. I am deeply saddened by the fact that she wanted so much to live for many more years. There were so many people she wanted to help, trips she wanted to accompany my father on, and grandchildren she wanted to read to.

I miss her dearly. I always will.
