Not sure what to say?

I was so sad to learn of Connie's death. Though it's been many,
many years since I've seen her, I remember Connie so fondly in our
young, single years. She was always so much fun and always had
the best stories to share. My deepest sympathy to Mel and the family
in this difficult time. May you find comfort in remembering cherished
moments and peace in loving memories. Rest well Connie.

An Old Friend

I was saddened to hear of Connie's passing, she was truly an angel. My daughter Wendy Barnhill attended Six Pence after Cols. Public Schools told me she was uneducable, and Connie and her staff helped bring her out of her shell. My prayers are with her family

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome...

Connie was a wonderful, compassionate person. While my son Andreas was at Six Pence she showed our family such respect and kindness. She was so very helpful to us and encouraging as well. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

How it saddened us to hear of Connie's passing. We have so many good memories of our years at Six Pence School with Connie and the staff. Six Pence was a family not just a job, from the students served to those who taught and served. For those who don't know, when Six Pence opened it had six students and Mrs. Pence was the founder and first teacher, thus the name. Connie had the idea and started the school which provided an exceptional place for childrento learn.
We cherish our memories...

Just looking at the Guest Book entries touched me as to how many lives Connie Pence has touched. The memories I have of Connie as a mentor at Six Pence and a dear friend will always be in my heart. My heart felt prayer are with Mel, Becky and Tim.

I am sadden to hear that Connie Pence passed away,I first met her at
six pence school in 1965. She beleived in me. I am curious to know when did six pence school close.

I was so sad to hear of Connie's passing. Our families shared quite a bond in "the day." It was great when they moved into "The Park" Fond memories of being there when both Becky and Tim were brought home to begin their lives with Connie and Mel. Oh my and their dog Tammy eating pacifier after pacifier.
I was lucky to receive some math tutoring from Connie at a young age. That is when the mentoring began. Connie and my Mother, Jo,and Step Father Marvin gave me opportunities to learn so...

I have to say, I have some great memories of Connie when I was a kid and Becca and I used to run around together. All those sleep overs that she would help out with. She was a great lady and a wonderful mother. Now she is somewhere that she will be happy and w/out any pain. Hope to see her again someday but where everyone is happy. Deepest sympathies to the Pence family.
