Cora Asher Obituary
Cora C. Asher of Elwood, Indiana passed away on December 24, 2021 at the age of 88.
She was born July 26, 1933 in Democrat, Kentucky to the late Willie and Bridie Collins.
Cora spent over 30 years working for Western Electric.
She is survived by her son Del Asher (Monica); grandchildren Chris Asher (Makayla), Amber Asher, and Barbara Joiner (Adam); great-grandchildren Maverick Joiner, Madison Asher, Kaylin Schultheis, Lilliana Asher, Madilynn Asher, Jaila Asher, Levi Asher, Corbin Asher, Colton Asher, and Kinley Asher; and siblings Mayo Collins (the late Linda), Dale Collins (Peggy), Mary Proffitt (the late Claude), and Opal Anderson (the late Rubin).
She was preceded in death by her husband Jackson Asher; her parents; siblings Cherry Collins (Marsha), Veda Bradley (Ray), and Stanford Collins (Anita); and great-grandchild Mason Joiner.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 31 from 9 to 11 AM with Funeral Services beginning at 11 AM in Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5635 W 96th St Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278.
