Agnes "Jean" Waddy 83 long time resident of Indiana passed away on 09/26/2025. She was born on 07/16/1942 in French Lick, Indiana to Cecil and Agnes Hall. Jean graduated from Purdue University in 1964 and became a physical education teacher at the Indiana school for the deaf prior to becoming a mother and staying home to raise her family. Later in life she worked for Lawrence Township schools as a librarian and teachers assistant. Jean was active in her church and was involved in Bible Study Fellowship throughout her life even serving as a childrens leader.
Jean loved people and was focused on telling others about her savior Jesus often giving strangers a copy of Jesus calling devotional to start and encourage them on a journey of faith. Her greatest desire was for people to have a saving personal relationship with Jesus.
Jean married her highschool sweetheart John A. "Tony" Waddy on 08/30/1963. They had a beautiful marriage of 62 years choosing to spend their time together. Their family was completed with two girls Tracy (Scott) Murphy and Darby (Derek) Allen. Jean had 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Monday October 6th from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at East 91st Street Christian Church with funeral service immediately following at 11:00 am. Jean will be laid to rest in Highland cemetery.
