Coradina T. LaBella

1920 - 2014

Coradina T. (Parentignoti) LaBella, 93, of Hartford, beloved wife of the late Santo "Sam" LaBella, passed away peacefully at home on Friday (March 7, 2014). Born in Hartford on March 18, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Santa (Tordonato) Parentignoti and had lived in the area her entire life. Coradina was a past member of the Italian American Junior League of Greater Hartford, the Young Italian American Association Ladies Auxiliary and the Daughters of the Canicattini Bagni Society. She was a longtime member of Episcopal Church Women (ECW) of the Church of St. Andrew the Apostle, Rocky Hill. She also enjoyed over 50 years of birthday celebrations, lunches and card playing with her group of close friends known as "The Circle 8 Girls." More than anything, however, she was a proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her two devoted children, Vincent "Jimmy" LaBella and his wife Carol of East Hartford and Sandra Beers and her husband Stanley of Temescal Valley, CA; four adored grandchildren, Vinny LaBella, Jr., Kevin LaBella and his wife Lien "Tham", Lori Sassoon and her husband Marco and Sarah Beers and her husband Chris Potts; seven cherished great-grandchildren, Noel, Trenton, Jacob, Aidan, Brendan, Justin and Steven, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Coradina's family wishes to thank the wonderful nurses and staff of Masonicare Home Health & Hospice for their care and compassion. A memorial service and burial will be held at a later date and there are no calling hours.
