ODESSA - Cruz Melendez, 56, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017 in Odessa, Texas. He was born in Barrancos de Guadalupe, Chihuahua, Mexico on April 26, 1960 and resided in Odessa, Texas. He is survived by his wife Olga Leticia Melendez, his children, Karina Tarango, Karime Melendez, Kristyna Melendez-Carlos and son Cruz Melendez Jr., all from Odessa, Texas. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren Melany, Luis III and Kailey Tarango, Daniel, Oscar, and Eveanna Arredondo and Albert Carlos Jr., all from Odessa, Texas. He is also survived by his brothers Armando, Domingo, Enrique and Jesus Melendez and his sister Dora Melendez. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather. He raised us well, he taught us to be independent, respectful, hard workers and grateful for all we have. We will truly miss him. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home Chapel located at 601 N. Alleghany Odessa, Texas. Mass will be held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Fernando officiating. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
