Not sure what to say?

To the Cowan Family
I have just be informed of the passing of one of my best friends since we were in Stevens Elementary School and Cloonan Jr. High and finally graduating from SHS in 1964. We were both very involved in our church Union Baptist. Curtis was my Senior Prom Date and we had a ball. We kept in touch but unfortunately not very often. Please always remember that he loved his family even at his darkest moment. Curtis is now at rest and peace and we Thank God for letting us have...

To Fran & Family -
"Poke" and I was shocked to hear of Curtis' passing and would like to extend our deepest sympathy to you at this time. We will continue to keep you and your family in our prayers.

Dear Chiara,

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. There is no easy way to cope with the loss of a father, however you can allow the spirit of your father to live forever through the telling of your memories. Let the stories begin...we are all hear to listen.

TO THE COWAN FAMILY, I HAVE KNOWN CURTIS SINCE WE WERE KIDS. HE WAS THE PRESIDENT OF OUR FIRST CLUB THAT WE FORMED. WE GRADUATED TOGETHER IN THE CLASS OF 1964, I WILL MISS TALKING TO HIM. BUT I KNOW HE IS IN A BETTER PLACE RIGHT NOW, WHERE THERE IS NO MORE PAIN AND SUFFERING. MAY GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU IN YOUR TIME OF SORROW IS MY PRAYER.

I was sadden to hear of the death of my longtime friend "Pee Wee". He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you and may God bless you.

Chiara,

You are in my thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time. Although I never met your father, I feel as though I knew him through the wonderful stories and anecdotes you told me about him. What a character he must have been! Cherish the memories for they will sustain you. My arms are around you all. Peace and blessings.

Fran, you and the children, have my deepest sympathy. As you know Curtis "Pee Wee", and I go back a long time to our young days in Sunday school. Through the days with him as my insurance agent. May God, give him rest, he loved his family. And may God give you and his children, the strength to carry on.

Dear Mary, Chiara, Adrie, Giancarlo and Gabby:

My heart is saddened to hear that Curtis has passed into eternity. He was a pilar of strength to all of you, a strong leader and always there for each of you, his family, whom he loved more than life itself. You are and will continue to be in my prayers. Christine Herman
