To the Cowan Family
I have just be informed of the passing of one of my best friends since we were in Stevens Elementary School and Cloonan Jr. High and finally graduating from SHS in 1964. We were both very involved in our church Union Baptist. Curtis was my Senior Prom Date and we had a ball. We kept in touch but unfortunately not very often. Please always remember that he loved his family even at his darkest moment. Curtis is now at rest and peace and we Thank God for letting us have him for as long as we did. Rest in Peace my dear friend, I'll always remember you. Saundra (Harris) Stewart Port St. Lucie, Fl. 34953

Dear Chiara,

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. There is no easy way to cope with the loss of a father, however you can allow the spirit of your father to live forever through the telling of your memories. Let the stories begin...we are all hear to listen.

I played varsity basketball with Curt at SHS. He was a talented player and a great kid who had a pleasant and classy way about him which evidently carried into his adult life.....My condolences to his family.

Fran,Chiara,Adriana,Giancarlo & Gabrella,

Henry and I want to express our deepest sympathy to you and your entire family. I will truly miss Curtis, and our many, many conversations about anything and everything any time day or night.

He was like my younger brother and family member, my mom and family held the highest respect for Curtis. When he was young he spent many days at our house with my brother John (Jingo).

When he first went into the business, he became our insurance agent and was so informative and always there for us.

He was loved by many, and will be miss my many.

May God bless you and keep you strong during this difficult time.

Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

To the Cowan family,
My prayers are with you at this hour of sadness. Curtis was my mother's insurance agent for many years and then he became my agent well over 20 years. Curtis was the kindest and most concerned person I have ever met. I thank God for him and having the chance to meet you, Mrs. Cowan. Words cannot express my sorrow but know this he was loved by so many especially his clients. Curtis always found the right path to help me (Pastor Lois Taylor), my brother (James Taylor), my daughter (Natasha) and my mother (Olivia Taylor). I pray that GOd will give you the strength you need now and the years to come.
