May God's promise found in John 6:40, of the hope to see our loved ones again, comfort your heart and give you peace, strength, and hope in the days ahead.

Kathy and Dave, Pulle, John and Heather - Tim and I are so sorry for your loss. Our family met Bert, Marie and Kathy when they were posted to Ottawa, Canada in 1969 and since then our families have shared so many memories with Marie that revolved around rug hooking, sewing, gardenng, antiques and schnauzers. We were always amazed at Marie’s amazing talents and her sense of fashion and flair. I was so blessed to have such a remarkable person in my life and will miss her dearly. I will miss...

Marie was a force of nature. I met her through her husband who also worked at BLM in Reno. Both a delight, I remember water witching in their backyard, enjoying that lovely setting. Many other memories of them both and that beautiful rug hooking created by Marie. RIP, Marie. I would suspect you have left your family with some WONDERFUL memories.

I first met Marie in 1992 when I was hired to run the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Program. Marie had been a Master Gardener for more than a decade and knew so much more than I did! I counted her as one of the most dedicated Master Gardeners in the program for years and she sure told me what to do. I always learned a lot from her. We traveled on many Master Gardener trips and became fast friends through the years. We talked almost every week and I miss her wisdom...

I began my career working directly under Marie at BLM’s Public Affairs Office in 1980. I was fresh out of high school and Marie shared her skills of running a fine tuned office. Who knew scotch tape would lift typos off the paper and worked almost as good as correction tape? Marie knew that! She shared her knowledge and creativity willingly and boy she knew a lot. I sincerely appreciate the impact she made in my career. May her family find peace in their memories.
