Not sure what to say?

I was researching my past when I was 20 years old in 1974 and remember how wonderful Dan was to try an idea called "Balloon Promotions" to advertise on hot air balloons. Very fond memories of a very nice man willing to work with a "kid" on an idea. Chris Tyson, Austin

Dear Eileen and family,

My thoughts and prayers are with you daily.

He was a good friend from childhood. We reconnected when I came to work with the county. He will be missed. He always had a smile and hug for me. Georgia Akers

Kaylie's First Picture

Kaylie Eileen Sellier is Dan's 17-month old granddaughter. She was the light of his life. The picture attached was Kaylie’s first painting. She painted it on her father, Richard Sellier’s, birthday (April 23) which was also the last time Dan was admitted to the hospital. I will miss you, Dan. You were always a gentleman, a remarkable thing in our line of work. I knew you for the better part of thirty years, and never heard you speak ill of anyone. You lived, and served your fellow man, with decency and honor. Well done. Now, enjoy the greatest adventure of all...

It was truly a pleaure to work for a commander who treated us like a friend. He cared about his troops. I remember being on a disturbance call in an apartment complex filled with crooks at 2 in the morning, when I called for backup, in walked Captain Doehring. I had nothing but the highest respect for him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. May God Bless You.

Eileen and Family, I am so sorry to hear of Dan's passing. He was a Great man and a dear friend. Thank you all for sharing him with us. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Eileen, if you need any thing pleases call, you will always be as dear to us as Dan was

The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow. You will be in my prayers. I worked for and with Capt for many years and I know he will be missed.
