Dear Julie and Jeff,

My deepest sympathy for your loss. Your father was a great man and friend. He will always be in my thoughts and memories for all the ways he influenced my life. The years I worked for and with him were the turning point of my life and I owe much to Dan.

DOROTHY,
WORKING WITH DAN MADE IT EASY TO GO TO WORK EVERYDAY. HE WAS MORE LIKE A FRIEND THAN A BOSS, YOU COULD TALK TO HIM ABOUT ANYTHING. I DON'T THINK IN 4 YEARS THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN DAN GET ANGRY ABOUT ANYTHING. HE WAS ALWAYS SMILING AND LAUGHING. HE WAS JUST GREAT WITH THE CUSTOMERS, SOMTIMES HE EVEN TALKED PEOPLE OUT OF BUYING SOMETHING BECAUSE HE COULD FIX IT INSTEAD OF THEM HAVING TO SPEND EXTRA MONEY, BUT DAN WAS LIKE THAT. WE MISS HIM AROUND HERE. TOWARDS THE END DAN KEPT...

Dan will be remembered by us as a great person with a great smile. He was always happy and laughing. I remember the basketball games in Orlando and eating Bar-B-Que in North Carolina. We met Dorothy and she is so sweet, our thoughts are with her at this sad time. I am glad Dan met her and was so happy. Dan will be missed. Our prayers are with the family. We have been so blessed to live next door to Dan and Dorothy for the past three years. What wonderful people. Dorothy, our prayers are with you, and we're here for you. To all the rest of the family, our prayers are with you too. We just wanted to testify to what a truly Godly, caring man Dan was. We look forward to seeing him again some day.

My thoughts and prayers are with Julie and the rest of the family. As you mourn the loss of your loved one, the angels rejoice that one of Christ's own has come home.

The four years we spent together at DePauw and the Phi Psi house formed the foundation for a life long friendship. Dan was unique, one of those people who injected energy into you instead of leeching it away. I will miss him....My greatest sympathies to Dorothy and the rest of the family
