Daniel C. Austin Sr.

I just learned of Dan´s death, and I offer my deepest sympathies to his family, especially his sweet and devoted wife Joanne. He and the Austin family became neighbors when we moved to Raleigh in 1969. He and my Dad became good friends and remained so until my Dad´s death in 2011. I remember meeting Mr. Austin and his family through the Garner family. I remember him fondly as one that was so kind and his eyes just sparkled. We were so very sorry to hear of his passing. It is so bittersweet, as we rejoice he is now with his Savior but know the loss here on earth is profound. Please know we are praying for you all.

I have been building homes for 40 years. I was a young inexperienced 22 yr old when I came to explore the Raleigh building industry in 1980. He was one the initial builders I spoke with. He was very gracious, patient and helpful to a young man he had never met. The conversation helped give me direction. Prayers for your family.
