You have my sincere condolences for your loss. I was in the same company with Dan during our AIT at FT. Polk. When we went to Vietnam I was sent to B Co 2/8 and Dan went to D Co 2/8. I remember Dan as a very likable man and friend. I think we only ran into each other one time while our companies were switching places on a firebase. Dan will forever be in my thoughts.

When I think of Dan, I will forever remember the young brave soldier who showed so much courage during the tough times of combat operations. And, I will remember his love of family, friends, and especially his love of his band of brothers.
I am sure that God smiles upon Dan's soul and the prayers that all of us have said for him and his entire family. While he may have lost the battle to cancer I believe he has made a tremendous mark in our hearts. He truly lived his life with Honor...
