1951 - 2019

DANIEL "DAN" LEE BEESE, 67, of Auburndale, Fla., passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Winter Haven Hospital, with his family at his side. Born May 28, 1951, in Owat onna, Minn., he was a son of Gerald Roy and Murlie Ann (Mosher) Beese. Dan and his wife are residents of Auburndale since 2019 coming from Huntertown, Ind. He graduated from Princeton High School in Illinois, Class of 1969, and then continued his education at University of St. Francis, in Fort Wayne, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in business. He also earned a degree in Auto Cad at Ivy Tech in Fort Wayne. Dan was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. He was a dispatcher for North American Van Lines, a cast member at Walt Disney World Orlando (Tea Cups and Snow White) and the owner / operator of a screen printing company. He was an active member of the following: Sports Car Club of America (SCCA), Sport car Vintage Racing Association (SVRA), Porsche Club of America (PCA), "Angry Skipper" Vietnam First Calvary Division, Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum, in Auburn, Ind., REVS in Naples, Fla., and a lifetime member of NATMUS Museum in Auburn, Ind. Dan was passionate about spending time with his family, racing, photography, framing pictures, people, good art and old cars. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Gail Beese of Auburndale, Fla.; two daughters, Kelli Beese and Kristi Cortezano - Smith, both of Huntertown, Ind.; brother, Douglas (Linda) Beese of Decatur, Ill.; sister, Debra Beese of Minneapolis, Minn.; and three grandchildren, Mercedes, Diego and Luke. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sandy; and two nephews, Matthew and Ryan. There are no services scheduled at this time. Arrangements by Kersey Funeral Home, 108 E.
