You have my sincere condolences for your loss. I was in the same company with Dan during our AIT at FT. Polk. When we went to Vietnam I was sent to B Co 2/8 and Dan went to D Co 2/8. I remember Dan as a very likable man and friend. I think we only ran into each other one time while our companies were switching places on a firebase. Dan will forever be in my thoughts.

When I think of Dan, I will forever remember the young brave soldier who showed so much courage during the tough times of combat operations. And, I will remember his love of family, friends, and especially his love of his band of brothers.
I am sure that God smiles upon Dan's soul and the prayers that all of us have said for him and his entire family. While he may have lost the battle to cancer I believe he has made a tremendous mark in our hearts. He truly lived his life with Honor and Courage and for that he will always be remembered.
Brother in arms, may you rest in peace. You are now forming your own squad of the Angry Skippers 1971-1972 cohort among the world of angels along with Russ Ryals, Dirk Olson, Chester Kuczaj. And, when it is our turn to join you we want to hear a loud Welcome Home Brother.

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Dan's family, sorry for your loss. Jeremiah 29:11, 12 assures us that God is thinking thoughts of peace towards us, to give us a future and a hope, and that if we come and pray to Him, He will listen to us. May that bring you comfort in this time of sorrow.
