Not sure what to say?

Today, while going thru my Mom's papers, I found a letter from Dr Bernstein dated Dec 30, 1970. He had a sent a typed thank you for the gift set she sent for the holidays for hosting myself and a friend in Martha's Vineyard. It was a heartfelt thank you and brought back memories of your dear parents being gracious and considerate by taking two girls from Texas who lived in their attic garage while making money to return home. I immediately called my girlfriend and then looked on line to...

Mrs. Bernstein and family, I was so sorry to hear about Dr. Bernstein. I first went to him in 1983 for a second opinion and continued to see him until we moved to Florida in 2000. He was such a wonderful and caring doctor and person. I can remember taking my son to him. As we were about to leave and I was going to give him my co-pay of $5, he said, "I'll flip you for it." He lost. He always asked for my son and my husband. We talked about his family and especially your grandchildren. I...

Dr.Bernstein and I worked together at longwood bldg. in the 70's my thoughes and prayers are with the family D. Dan was a wonderful person I will miss him GOD BLESS

I first met Dan when I became a new patient of his in 1963, shortly after I started to work at "the Brigham" and he has been my doctor and my friend ever since. When I got married three years later he became my husband's doctor as well and he cared for us well over the years. Unfortunately he was not able to forstall the inevitable and my husband passed away in 1999 after an heroic 7 year battle with prostate cancer. Dan was there for us every minute of that time and in fact gave us his...

To the beloved family of Dr. Bernstein (Bernie)
Our sincere sympathies in the loss of such a special man. He knew of our deepest respect and love of him..Always caring and professional, Always sharing his sense of humor, Always a twinkle in his smile. We will miss our visits with him.

Dr. Bernstein has been my doctor for the last 12 years. I will never find another doctor like DR. Bernstein- he was top notch! I will truly miss him and his sense of humor.

Dan was my doctor for nearly twenty years. He nudged me about my weight, encouraging me always to take better care of myself. He saved my life by finding a nodule on my neck during a routine exam that I suspect most doctors would not have found or even looked for, which turned out to be early stage thyroid cancer, and then referred me to an excellent surgeon who successfully removed the thyroid and all cancer. He always asked about my wife and daughter, the latter of whom is a Haverford grad....

We were greatly saddened to learn that Dr. Bernstein passed away. Our sympathies to your family. My husband and I have been patients of his for the last 12 yrs. He was an excellent clinician with a kind, caring and gentle bedside manner. We appreciated his sound advice and sense of humor. He was a gem and will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with your family.
