Dan Brunk was so giving he loved Dora so much he loved his church he loved his God and everybody loved him back there will never be another Dan Brunk we miss him

Dear Dora and family,
Although I only knew Dan personally for a short time many years ago, I loved him very much and he has been a great influence in my adult life. Many times, facing at a formidable situation, I have asked myself, “Now how would Dan Brunk approach this problem?” That always helped me level my thinking and look at it one step at a time until the problem was solved. Dan was truly one of the great ones – and a one-of-a-kind great one at that. My thoughts and prayers and...

I was viewing the obituaries searching for my brother's wife's name when I came across the one for Daniel Wenger Brunk. As I read his obituary, I couldn't help but think my mother very possibly knew of him. She was Lucille Morris Leasa. She passed away last November. I remember hearing the name Brunk on many occasions. So, if their paths have crossed, I'm sure she would be delighted in knowing that I am signing this book. A smile came across my face when I read the part that Daniel...

Dear Dora and Family,

I was saddened to see Dan's obituary in yesterday's "Daily News Record". I will never forget the times that I spent with Kathy, at your home years ago, and how welcomed I always felt. Your family has been in my daily prayers and will continue to be, in the days ahead. I am sure there are wonderful, precious memories in all the years you shared, together. May God's grace and peace be with you as you are lifted up before the Lord for strength for each...

Blessings to you as you mourn the loss and celebrate the life of husband/father/grandfather.

I didn't know Mr. Brunk personally. I never had the pleasure of meeting him, however, I feel like I've known him for a long time, through conversations with my sister, Jackie. I share in the love she feels and conveyed to me through the months prior to his death. I did get to meet Dora, a very special lady, I have enjoyed reading her journel and feel like I've known the family for years. My prayers and deepest sympathy are with you all..Being the special man, Mr. Brunk was, he will be missed...

We will remember Dan with much fondness. God Bless you Dora in these weeks and months of adjustment to Dan's absence from your daily activities. You both worked as a team in service to others. Your gifts of hospitality and generosity touched many!

My encounters with Dan have been few, and always memorable! I remember Dan, with great fondness, for his hospitality, his generosity, and wonderfully unique spirit. May the stories and the memories sustain you, Dora and family, in the coming days.
With hugs and prayers,

Dear Dora and family,
You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Knowing you and Dan has truly been one of life's many blessings.
