I drove through the plaza like I used to do when I had an appointment at Danny's garage. It felt all too familiar and I immediately thought of him. R.I.P. Danny. You truly were the best mechanic ever. And a very nice person with a terrific sense of humor. The world was a better place with you in it.

just found out that Danny passed. I thought he retired but didn't know anything else. (My family moved out of the area in 2004.) I am sorry to hear this and so sorry for your loss. I used to call Danny my "Surrogate Husband." I relied on him for everything regarding my cars and then when I got married and was at the dealer for a oil change and the service guy would tell me "what they found." I would say, "May I call my husband?" Then, I would call Danny and ask him if it sounded right. (I do...

It's been three years since Dan's passing and I can't tell you how often we think of Danny. He was such a kind and honest man. Know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Rosemary and Fred Smith, W. Simsbury

Riding with my friend was an experience!
The first time I rode with him, he pulled out in front of someone, I thought he was cutting it close, and on my side! Dan said dont worry, thats why they put brakes on that car! We had a good laugh!... afterward.
We would discuss business, dont worry came up then also. He was very supportive.
Dan would get a kick out of knowing there are tears in my eyes while I write this.
God bless my brother,
Pat Grace

Dear Carcio Family:
Dan was our friend and a perpetual positive fixture in our lives. Even after we moved to Bloomfield more than 15 years ago, we still brought our cars to Dan because of the personal care, dedication, and detailed service he and his team provided. As a child, I remember one time when Dan paid us a housecall just to double-check, even though he himself doubted that we were the ones with car trouble.
Dan also perpetually supported all my successes, especially my law...
