Daniel Dominguez Obituary

Danny was born on February 15, 1931, in Mendota, California to Camilo and Maria Dominguez. He passed away on Monday, August 31, 2009, with his family by his side. Dad will be remembered for his regular trips to Laughlin, his funny stories and his sarcastic sense of humor. Danny was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Ismael; and his infant daughter, Victoria. Danny is survived by his wife, Julia, of 52 years; and their children and grandchildren, Yolanda and Moses Lujan and their daughters, Katy and Analisa Lujan, Eddie Dominguez and his sons, Daniel Dominguez and his wife Marisa, and Emilio Dominguez; Rosalinda and Jeff Pipes and their daughters, Marissa and Melanie and her husband Morgan Knight, all of Fresno. Danny also leaves behind his siblings and their spouses, Helen and Ralph Zavala of Newark, Ca., Margaret Nunez of Visalia, Ca., Sally Gonzales of Fresno, Ca., Tom and Margie Dominguez of San Jose, Ca., Eva and Joe Borrego of Fremont, Ca.; Ruth and Tony Bustillos of Delhi, Ca.; Mary and Stan Smith of Clovis, Ca.; and John and Marcsha Dominguez of Fresno, Ca.; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Friday, September 4, 2009, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Saturday, September 5, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens. Has it really been 15 years since you left us. I remember you always wearing that snazzy little hat. Some would say that it was your trademark. Till we all meet again, keep watching over your family.

I will miss Tio Danny's dry sense of humor. I remember when I was young we used to visit the ranch. It was nice to see him. He will always be in my memory.

Even when time passes and many miles seperate us it is times like this that bring us together. Yes, Uncle Danny told many stories and that sence of humor aften kept you wondering, I also remember a really nice smile. When I remember my childhood going back to Pinedale to visit family I can see him standing in the background keeping an eye on all of us. After all, 5,6,8 Mayorga's were alot to keep up with!I love you Uncle Danny. Rest now. My Love to you Aunt Julia and my three cousins. All our thoughts and prayers are with you.
