Not sure what to say?

It sounds like Dan had an incredible life..Many friends. I knew him since kindergarten...through High School.. Then lost track over the years as people do. My belated condolences to the family and friends

My last words to Dan were "Thanks for being my brother". He responded with great difficulty, "You Too" then he was finally able to rest. I am sorry Dan had to live his life with such difficulties. Despite everything Dan went through he always saw the good in life: Family, Friendship, Music, Humanity and Kindness. I thought, after some time, I could explain what 38 years with Dan has meant to me. A friend of mine explained how sometimes the best communication is not spoken. I feel this best...

I just recently found and re-read a beautiful letter Dan wrote me from Addis Ababa on the way home from his journey in East Africa. So many things struck me in his recounting of all he had experienced--his empathy and love for others, his kindness, his ability to honor and be awed by small things others miss, his unflappable humor in the face of adversity. There is a brightness to Dan that so many others have been touched by, have learned from. I remember receiving that letter now nearly four...

Dear Eric and family,
We are greatly saddened by the loss of Dan. So young and so brave. We only met Dan once, but his out going personality got us right away.
As a very old family friend it grieves me that you are all suffering this pain
With much caring, love Lisa and Bert

To all the Eisenklams and all of Dans friends I send my deepest sympathy . The news of Dans passing was a shock to me up here in VT...I have distanced myself more than geographically from Westford for some time now. There has always been occassion to pause and reflect on those youthful days back in the center. getting into trouble in the orchards or chasing the dead as we grew older. Dan never failed to bring something magic to the table that made good times better and had an uncanny ability...

To the Eisenklam clan and their extended clan which will go on forever, we will all miss you so very much but will never forget:

Love is patient, Love is kind

It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails.

Dan's perseverance for self-improvement, his sense of adventure and willingness to take risks, his interest in new ideas and hobbies, his respect for social decorum, his pride in his work and his accomplishments, his kindness and inclusive towards others, his intellectual curiosity, his courage and compassionate nature, his love and loyalty of friends and family are a few of the fine qualities Dan possesed which continue to be a source of inspiration for me. I will cherish my many fond...

I am privileged and blessed to have such wonderful memories of Dan- my cousin who I was lucky to reconnect with after years of uncrossed paths. I loved and admired Dan's gift of connecting with people and his ability to leave others with something meaningful to think and smile about. His thoughtfulness touched my life, and he is truly going to be missed. My love and thoughts are with his family.
