My current project began over a year ago, encouraged from the start by Dan. "Jerry," he wrote even from the hospital, "send me more. This is your best work yet." Patty, it has been a very long time since I saw you and Dan at your home in Croton-on-Hudson. I am so sorry to hear of Dan´s passing and remember so fondly working with him at Harcourt Brace.
