Not sure what to say?

Dan became a wonderful and unique friend of mine. I say unique because we are over 40 years apart from each other in age! I befriended Dan while in my sophomore year of college at the University of Tennessee in the late Fall of 2008 while in a church service at Redeemer Presbyterian. There I was, listening to songs and to the church service when Dan sat down next to me. We chatted. We share stories. Although I haven’t seen Dan in many years, I have always had a special place in my heart for him and the Hall family. I am saddened by his passing and hold his family in love and prayer. May Dan rest in peace and rise in glory.

I am sorry to say that I haven't seen Dan in maybe thirty years or longer. We had many great times together as graduates of Bearden together in 1968. We played on the Bearden basketball team together and have many memories of those good times. I am sorry for the loss of Dan, and I am sorry that we were not connected much since high school. God Bless your family during this time of mourning and remembering.

This a beautiful tribute obviously written by ones who knew and loved Dan well. I knew Dan when I was younger and was touched by his kindness to me even though I was only his little sister's friend. I am not surprised he grew up to be a giving man with a servants heart. I know he will be missed by everyone whose life he touched. My love, thoughts and prayers are with all who loved him. May Dan Rest in Peace.

I remember Dan as a gentle soul even in high school. Very sorry to read about his death.
