Dan Holguin and I went to high school together. Being two grades behind him, I only knew him from afar, but no one could miss that he was a star. He was good academically and attended Boys' State. He served on the student council, a played on all the teams (football, basketball, and baseball), and won citizenship awards. He was a thespian and Class Favorite.
