Not sure what to say?

I´m so sorry to hear of Tom´s passing. He was one of the first people I met when I came to Evergreen as a visitor, stepping in to take over for him while he was on leave to work on his writing. He was welcoming, funny, and full of good advice. He was a fine teacher and generous mentor to many students.

I'm so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. Tom was my first faculty member at The Evergreen State College, back in the late 70s. He introduced me not only to Shakespeare but also to some contemporary (for the time) science fiction authors. (Only later did I read some of his own sci-fi.) I am grateful to Tom for his teaching; he was the first teacher to take my work seriously, and thus, to get me to take my own work seriously. I will miss you, Tom!
