Lost and found! As children, Danny and I were inseparable until his family moved from Manayunk to Haddonfield. I knew his immediate family and his mother's family. We reconnected in college. But then we each went our separate ways. If I remember correctly, he took a teaching position in Connecticut. I went to graduate school and eventually joined the Jesuits. Circa 2005, we reconnected and met when ever I visited Philadelphia and then Baltimore. I last had contact with him two years ago....

My beloved father was one of the most loving, supportive and loyal people I know. He loved us boldly and filled our childhood with magic and laughter. He sacrificed many things for his family. He would always say “Yes” when I would ask him for help.
He was incredibly smart, a star athlete, a beautiful singer, and an accomplished writer and poet. He was always the funniest person in the room and people were drawn to him. Above all, he was a proud father. He told me and my brothers how...

Dan was a treasured member of the poetry writing workshop at the Renaissance Institute in Baltimore. He is dearly missed by everyone who knew him in our lifelong learning community. This is the last stanza of a poem I wrote in 2020 as a tribute to Dan when he moved to NJ. Wow. So sorry to hear about Dan. I have fond memories of him and will always him as Professor Higgins.
