Not sure what to say?

Our deepest sympathy he was a great teacher ( former River Valley Student ) who treated students with respect, while teaching us important life skills in addition to the academic information .

My condolences to the family. Mr. Montgomery was one of the kindest people I've ever known. You were lucky to have him, and I'm sure he will be missed.

I will always cherish my time spent with Dan both at Johnstown and later at LV. He was a true gentleman and dearly loved by so many throughout his educational career. My love and sympathy to you Kathy and to his three amazing daughters. Peace and love to you all Mary Kay

My heart goes out to Kathy and the girls. They have lost a truly wonderful husband and father. I know they will be strong for each other. May God be with you and your families at this time.

Dear Kathy and Family,I will always remember Dan's kindness, advice and loyalty to many students, teachers and coaches during the late 70's, when I began my career as a coach

One of the finest people I ever met. So genuine. A great mentor. Helped me and the District get through some very tough financial times at Newark City Schools (NCS). We actually left NCS on the same day. His passing is a definite loss for all those who knew him. Extra love sent to his loving wife Cathy and their family. Rest peacefully.

Dear Kathy and Family,
So sorry to hear about Dan's passing. He was a great person for his students and sports people to look up to.

His life has been blessed. He was active in so many things and touched so many people.
The world is a better place having had Dan!

Tonight many of us attended the calling hours for Dan and his family. As I waited my place in line, I was overwhelmed with joy. Obviously he had touched so many lives in such positive ways, everyone wanted/needed to pay their respects for what he had given to them.
My heart is full, as I hope yours is, to have known Dan Montgomery. The child, the husband, the father, the grandfather, the teacher, the mentor, the friend to everyone. We've all been blessed by your presence.
Till we meet...

Condolences to the whole Montgomery Family, I coached at Licking Valley High School while Dan was principal there. Dan is a real class act, and I learn a few things from him that was very positive in my life. I always loved to talk shop with him since he was an Old Wrestling Coach before practices and he always was very supportive of the wrestling program. Again Prayers to the whole Montgomery Clan and David and Brian I know he's in a better place. God Bless you all....
