Not sure what to say?

Dan, you were the first teacher that made me like to learn. You had an amazing eye for photography. I wish I had made more of an effort after school to keep in touch. You'll never be forgotten by me. I've uploaded this photo, because this is what yo u taught me. I look at things like this because of you and your teaching. Donald

He was my photography teacher at the American Academy of Art in the late 1970's. I wish I had reached out to you much sooner. I still have my original portfolio I shot while at AAA while you were was my teacher. Rest in piece Dan

I am so sorry to hear that Dan died. He was a vibrant, inspiring teacher, opening up opportunities for his students in which to grow creatively and professionally. I will always remember and treasure him. Blessings to you, Dan.

Dan was the most enlightened spirit I've ever met and because of his shared knowledge I've been a photographer for 33 years. I'm so thankful that I had the chance to visit him last December and talk for several hour. Dan's spirit will be with me forever...Robert Ferrone

I loved this man....Thirty years ago he opened my eyes to his beauty of life. I will never forget him he will live in me forever.

When thinking about how much Dan will be missed at our book club, I realized our good fortune to have known him at all. The many whose paths intersected with Dan's are the better for it.

your spirit soars on wings

Dan,
Brilliant... You lived your life from the dream outward! You were my friend and mentor. I will always think of you when I see the moon, light and color. Your spirit soars in the blue sky forever! Glide through time like a skimmer in the sunrise...Thank you

Dear Uncle Dan,
You will never know how much I loved and admired you for the choices you made in your life. You were always honest and true to your beliefs and your love of nature and the environment made a lasting impression on all who knew you. I think of you every day and will always hold your spirit in my heart.

Your loving niece,
Beverly Morrill Sabino

Dan,
I will miss you and your incredibly interesting and stimulating contributions to our little Sandburg book club, And I will treasure forever the beautiful letter you sent to me last year. You would have loved to be a part of the celebration of your life yesterday at Marilyn's. It was wonderful.
