I didn't know him well.... he was a great friend to my father. They grew up in Brooklyn, found their way to California and remained friends for over 50 years. My dad never spoke an unkind word about him. They had love for each other as only best friends understand. He will be missed. I'm so sad to hear of his passing yet relieved to know he's free of pain. RIP Danny Pettit, you were a good man.
